We keep the horses outside year round as much as possible, depending on the weather.
The horses are turned out in groups of two in the paddocks and in groups of four to eight in the large pastures.
Individual turnout is available if required and requested by the owner.
There is plenty of acreage for riding as well as adjoining trails, allowing for various types of riding or riding level.
The facilities include both an indoor and an outdoor arena, both of which have great footing for riding or jumping.
The barn includes a large tackroom and a wash bay with hot and cold water.
The horses are fed 3-4 times daily, depending on how long they are out to pasture. If weather permits horses to be outside 4 or more hours, horses are fed 3 times, otherwise horses are fed 4 times a day. When grass is abundant and horses are in pasture, horses may not need or be fed hay as a supplement. We feed a high quality grain that is based on each individual horse's health, weight, and training schedule.
The grain feeding schedule is:
7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Since horses by nature are grazing animals with relatively small stomachs, this feeding schedule lessens the stress on the horse to find food. We believe that feeding more frequently in smaller amounts also reduces stomach issues that can result in colic and other digestive problems.
Full board is $450.00 a month and includes grain and hay, turnout, and stalls cleaned 7 days a week.
